PASS LOOP for iPhone · iOS 17 or later

Questions, bugs or ideas: write to babayaga@babayagaapps.com. Please mention your iPhone model, iOS version and the PASS LOOP version (Settings → Version). We usually reply within a few days.

Bring your Anki decks

  1. In Anki on your computer, export the deck as an Anki Deck Package (.apkg). Turn on scheduling information so your progress comes along.
  2. Get the file onto your iPhone — save it to the Files app or iCloud Drive, or AirDrop it.
  3. In PASS LOOP, go to Decks → Deck Tools → Import Anki File, choose the file and pick the decks you want.

The import keeps going even if you close the screen; if iOS stops it, it resumes the next time you open the app. Up to 30,000 cards from the decks you pick can be imported at a time, and full collection files (.colpkg) work too. If some part of a card can't be shown, the import screen lists which cards and why.

Make cards with the AI you already use

In the Decks tab, start making cards with AI, pick a topic, how many cards and what kind, and choose your AI. PASS LOOP copies a ready-made request and opens that AI. Paste it there (add your own notes if you like), copy the answer, come back and paste — it becomes a deck. PASS LOOP never calls an AI itself. You can also type cards in or import a CSV file.

Export, back up, move to a new iPhone

Moving to a new iPhone

  1. On the old iPhone, create a backup file and include images and audio.
  2. Save it to the Files app or iCloud Drive, or AirDrop it to the new iPhone.
  3. On the new iPhone, open PASS LOOP → Settings → Study Data → Backup & Restore → Restore from Backup File. The restore is applied the next time the app opens.

PASS LOOP Ultra

Listen Mode

Start it from the headphones button on the study screen. With earphones: press once to pause, twice for Okay, three times for Again. Hard and Easy, replay and undo are on the Listen screen. Cards are read with your iPhone's own voices; for a nicer voice, download an enhanced voice in iOS Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content.

Report a problem

Tell us what happened, the steps that lead to it, and your iOS and PASS LOOP versions; a screenshot helps a lot. If one deck causes trouble, describe it — only attach the deck file if you're happy for us to see its contents.
